Throughout the day my skin goes through a variety of stages. It starts off smooth and plump in the AM, then slowly ends up resembling an orange peel by mid to late afternoon. To avoid looking like a corpse come 1pm, I rely on my daily routine as well as go to products and potions during the day. I will aim to make another post on skin routine etc. But for now, get down with my top five!
1) Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè
Beauty bloggers/youtube gurus will understand when I say this is the best thing ever! If I remember correctly, I recieved it within a beautybox, and have never looked back. The joys of Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè is its ability to be versatile. I know some ladies use it as a primer, night cream but personally it has become my everyday moisturiser. Unfortunately, it’s a total mission to locate in the UK, and I have only been able to source it at SpaceNK and Topshop Oxford Street.
2) Liz Earle Hot Cleanse and Polish Hot cloth Cleanser
A Friend of mine who is a Fashion booking assistant for Marie Claire UK and a MUA (check out her insta @eevapineda ) recommended Liz Earle to me. Can someone say holy grail?! The Hot cloth cleanser has taken a front and centre position on my bathroom shelf. It leaves the skin clean and soft, unlike some cleansers that leave the skin dry and squeaky. The starter kit comes with muslin cloths, that are machine washable and sold separately by Liz Earle.
Where to buy: Liz Earle
Price: Pump starter kit £14.75-£26.25
3) Avène Thermal Water Spray
Not a product I am a die hard fan of, but I must like it to some degree because it has taken up permanent residence in my handbag. Half way through my working day, when my face feels grimey, I spray and then use a facial wipe to remove the dirt. Yuk. Try it.
Price: £3.15 for travel size £10.00/$9.00 for 300ml
4) ‘Ruby Woo’ by MAC
Once upon a time I was scared of red lipstick. Then I tried it, and got over that fear real quick! Realising that a red lip generally tends to suit most once you have the correct colour to match your shade. Ruby woo however, seems to be univseral when it comes to skin tones. I apply alone, or add depth by lining the corners of my mouth with a darker pencil (currant by MAC) before adding Ruby on top. Great alternatives?? Tom ford Cherry lush or Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in La Fascinante.
Where to buy: MAC
Price: £15.50/ $16.00
5) Vitamin E Eye Cream by The Body Shop
Pretty much does what it says on the tin to be honest. By applying a few dots under my eyes 30mins before make up, it usually diminishes any signs of my under eye baggage claim. lol
Where to buy: The Bodyshop
